Praised by FAZ (11.01.19 Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) for her “outstanding and captivating stage presence” as well as her “radiant voice” german soprano Katharina Ruckgaber was a member of the Frankfurt opera studio from 2014-2016 where she sang her very first Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro.
Since 2017/18 Ms Ruckgaber is a member of Theater Freiburg, where she is singing many important roles including Musetta (La Bohème), Adele (The Bat), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) and Olympia (The Tales of Hofmann).
Season 2018/19 sees her debuting at Staatstheater Karlsruhe (Ännchen-Der Freischütz) as well as singing her very first Pamina (The magic flute) at Staatstheater Darmstadt.
Recent concert highlights include recitals at Wigmore Hall London, Konzerthaus Wien, Oper Frankfurt and Tchaikovsky Hall Moscow.
